Register for the 2016 Touge California

Touge California Logo

The deadline for entries for Touge California 2016 is fast approaching. We’re seeking 25 pre-1980 Japanese cars to accept the challenge of a 200-mile tour of some of southern California’s most scenic and challenging driver’s roads on April 2nd. We’ve had a tremendous response from owners of classic J-Tin from around the country, but we’re hungry for more.

If you’d like to be a part of the 2016 Touge California, please submit your entry via this form below by March 1st. Entry is open to all Japanese cars made before 1980 (though continuation models such as a 1985 RX-7 are allowed). As we’re trying to assemble a diverse representation of what makes JNCs so special, we’re especially interested in entries of the following:

  • Datsun roadsters or early Nissan Silvias
  • Mazda rotaries
  • Toyota sedans
  • Mitsubishis, Isuzus and Subarus
  • Honda S-Series

Also, it’s important to note that if you participated in Touge California last year and are awaiting your invitation for this year’s event, stop waiting. We need an application from you, too!

Applicants who are selected for participation in Touge California 2016 will be notified no later than March 7th. Will you be among them?

Good luck with the HONDA S series owners…..Most of them have project cars that will most likely not see the light of day again until they sell the project. The ones that have complete, and running examples, are afraid to take them out and actually use them, because “what if something breaks?”Much better odds attracting N/Z series owners who know full well their little car is up to the task!

If the organizers could secure a “hall pass” from the CHP I’d haul my non road legal S800 out to Cali. I’d turn it loose all the way to 11k rpm. Imagine the lovely sound off those canyon walls!
