QotW: What JNC nameplate needs a decor set?

Yesterday, news dropped of a 60th anniversary decor set celebrating the Nissan Skyline. Items ranged from small dishes with taillight designs to 1/6 scale engines and piston-shaped tumblers.

We all surely have a little something on display in our homes. For some, it’s a few historic j-tin hot wheels on a desk; and for others its a 1968 Toyota Corona grille on the wall.. no? Just me?? Hmmm..

Either way, we could all benefit from hitting up the local home store, drifting the shopping cart (trolley) in the home decor section and filling the cart up with some J-spec offerings. Maybe a toaster oven that burns a RX-7 Wankel rotor on each piece of toast, or some iconic Civic mini hubcaps to rest our beverage of choice on. So, I simply ask:

What JNC nameplate needs a decor set?

Yea. In hindsight the question was a lay-up and more about who could get to the keyboard faster. I posted both photos to show how timeless the BRE (Brock Racing Enterprises) livery really is. Amazingly, it was Peter Brock who penned the livery that would catapult Datsun (Nissan) and BRE into hearts of many.

I’d love to see the livery come back in a racing series or limited edition paint jobs for new Nissans. We were teased when the IDx NISMO edition bowed back in 2013 (wow, has it been that long already?) but sadly it was never realized. Here’s hoping someone at Nissan is reading this and decides to turn on the skunk werks shop lights and gets us a new vehicle that can pick up the BRE livery torch once more.

This weeks win goes to Andrew for the quick post and for putting into words what everyone was thinking.

There is only one answer, in my world anyways……BRE…..period.

Omedetou! Your comment has earned you a set of decals from the JNC Shop.

Eunos! Wankel rotor-shaped place mats and coasters, bowls inspired by the gentle curve of a Roadster’s door mirrors, and a three-piece suite trimmed like the luxurious cabin of a JC Eunos Cosmo. A couple of Roadster-style pop-up lights could make for interesting table lamps, too.

    The Mitsubishi Starion.
Just think of the possibilities. Tableware trimmed around the edges in a beautiful motif replicating the simple front grille, coasters designed to look like the various unique and stunning factory alloys, and the piece de resistance; seatbelt inspired toilet paper that read “turbo turbo turbo turbo” as you unrolled it.

they all do! all JNCs deserve some love…from the most obscure japan-only kei car to the mightiest of bosozoku sleds.

A BBQ Grill that looks like the front clip of any JNC. And we don’t need to discriminate between marquees!! Ya want a AE86 grill, ya got it!

    Except for some marquees…..
