MINICARS: A new first-gen Toyota Celica diecast is coming

There’s a new first-generation Toyota Celica miniature car coming, and the source may surprise you. It was revealed at the Nuremburg Toy Fair in Germany earlier this month, and comes from French company Majorette. Apparently the A20 Celica is becoming appreciated enough as a classic in Europe that it will now be immortalized in diecast form.

The car is approximately 1:64 scale and will appear in Majorette’s Vintage Cars line this year. Like most Majorettes, the model has a moving part, in this case, opening doors. And in very European fashion, they’ve chosen to model the facelifted flat-front version of the A20 Celica. Though not what many consider to be the ideal version of the Celica, it will be a boon to owners of 1974 and up models who have for so long lacked a proper 1:64 scale representation of the their car.

I want It, when will we see a Facelift model of the Galant GTO from this brand? I don’t mind them doing modern Mitsubishi vehicles as well (Triton, Outlander etc).
