There’s less than a month left to register your car for the 2009 Japanese Classic Car Show. This is going to be a special one, as it is the 5th anniversary of the show that finally brought kyusha fans a venue to share, show and enjoy their cars with the rest of the community and country. Limited numbers of anniversary items will be available to registrants, so hurry!
The organizers have also informed us that one of the issues at the Hidden Valley Park location, the dust from the dirt trail near the entrance, has been solved. They have reconfigured the show for a new entrance and a water truck will be standing by.

how old do the cars have to be to join the show? 25?
They have to be Pre-’85!
Honestly, the dust was not THAT big an issue for me last year, just a minor inconvenience. I’m glad the organizers are listening to peoples’ suggestions though. Can’t wait for the show this year!
Out of curiosity only (I live in STL) – is this only for pre-’85 cars, or are car models which overlap 1985 allowed? I’m thinking of, for example, the Tercel 2&4WD wagons, which were virtually unchanged through the whole model run from ’83 through ’88?

I believe that as long as that car’s generation began ’85 or before, it’s good to go. Check with the organizers just to be sure though.
