Friday Video: Far East Movement Loves Datsun 240Zs

Alright, alright, we’ll post about it! We’ve been getting emails about Far East Movement‘s Z-heavy music videos almost as frequently as the songs are played in nightclubs. So apparently this LA-based band likes Datsun 240Zs and has populated at least two of their videos with them. The first was the Billboard #1 hit “Like a G6”, which apparently has nothing to do with front-wheel-drive Pontiacs. The second one, shown above, is “Rocketeer”, which laid to rest any doubt about their love for the for the S30 chassis. If your cup of tea consists of something called electro-hop, check out the videos below the fold.

  6. Brad D. says:

    @Tyler….
    This song is fun and innocent compared to most pop music……..

    Weird dynamic, where do you find three people, give them a record deal, and they all want to go out and by an old Z? Were they Z friends with a common interest in music or music friends that by some miracle have impeccable automotive taste (save for the wheels..)?

  7. _John says:

    I actually quite enjoyed that Rocketeer song.

  8. OkieRA29 says:

    G6 is the jet at the end… It is actually, the Gulfstream G650, but the hip people have shortened it. First time I remember hearing the G-whatever is with the G3 from there it has just gone on. G6 is a killer corporate/baller jet!!!

    I take away two things from this:

    1. Hip hop is dead
    2. J-tin is eternal

    I haz a sad, butt at leest I haz a happy two.
